About me

I am a fifth year PhD student in ECE Department at UIUC, advised by Prof. Pramod Viswanath. I also closely collaborate with Prof. Sewoong Oh and Prof. Sreeram Kannan. My current research interests are: theoretical and algorithmic aspects of machine learning and statistics, optimal transport, information theory.

I graduated from Indian Institute of Technology, Bombay (IIT Bombay) with a B. Tech. (Honors) in Electrical Engineering and Minors in Mathematics in 2015.

I have been extremely fortunate to work with Prof. Vivek Borkar for my Bachelor's thesis at IIT Bombay. I have also had the pleasure to work with Prof. Yihong Wu for my Master's thesis at UIUC (2015-2017).

Prior to coming to US, I interned with Morgan Stanley Strats & Modeling Divsion at Mumbai in Summer 2014 and received a job offer as Securities Analyst from Goldman Sachs, Bangalore in 2014.
